This series is an excerpt from a larger series called 7 years in mainland China which is still in it’s final stages and will hopefully be published in book form. Davey Warren spent seven years living and working in China and documenting it during his long stay. These photos represent his vision of what it’s like to live in Mainland China.
Davey Warren is a freelance photographer from Canada and he’s been published in several magazines throughout Europe and Asia. When he first started taking photos he was mostly inspired by black and white documentary and street photography but as time went on and after a three week trip in China he slowly moved into using negative colour film. As for what he does now, he still enjoys shooting documentary work but has become very involved with portrait and contemporary fashion work.
