cute{tastrophe} is a New York City based Graphic Designer, Illustrator, and Painter. She received her BA from The School of Visual Arts for Graphic Design in 2007. Having spent most of the past 7 years working in-front of screens, she turns to painting and illustrating to revisit her love of the tactile process. Her characters reside in colorful, dream-like settings while reflecting themes grounded in reality. Life, according to cute{tastrophe}, is a series of fantastically-grim dualities (light/dark, knowledge/ignorance, etc) that make up one’s total experience.
