Recently, the hemp is becoming very popular and they are starting to use it to create objects and design. One of the first discoverers of this material is Sam Whitten, a young graduate who founded a start-up that builds glasses with hemp.
The Sunglasses Hemp line is created by combining fibre hemp and flax, the mixed material is compressed and moulded. Of course, the structure would not be able to withstand knocks and blows, so the glasses are treated with eco-friendly resin that makes them more resistant and waterproof.
Hemp Eyewear will be mass producing their sunglasses soon and in august their Kickstarter campaign will be launched.
