La Guajira Desert is a vast, beautifully unaffected area in northeastern Colombia, along the Caribbean Sea. This region’s amenities are bare bones and unassuming, in a romantic kind of way. With tourism growing rapidly in the country, the area won’t remain like this for long. It is a fleeting glimpse into how things were and are, for now.
Sarah Palmer was born and raised in a small town in rural Ontario. She received her B.F.A in Photography from Ryerson University in Toronto in 2008, where she currently resides.
She composes multi-frame exposures in camera, with no manipulation in post.
Her work has been published internationally and has been exhibited in galleries and exhibitions including Scotia Bank’s Contact Photography Festival.
