The theme and inspiration behind the Universal Works AW16 collecrion was funfair ground. The meaning of the theme expressed the traveling funfair comes to town to mark the end of summer and winter is approaching.
As the changes in weather, sweaters, coats, hats ad scarf and jackets are the must have in the evening. The AW16 collection captured the needs of those clothing. The memory of those time at funfair was the inspiration for the AW16 collection which is eclectic, yet strong in personal classic styling, yet modern, dark and sophisticated. Especially the colours and the luxuries wools and cotton used. The designs and textile of the collection are very simple, modern and layering is the key factors for the AW16 collection.
The onset of the presentation was great, the atmosphere was feel with fresh cooked popcorn, bright colours posters, mushy peas and candy floss. Models were holding pros like candy floss, fishing rode and one of the model even had a ‘Nemo’ in a bag, which I thought it compromise with the theme so well.
