Momentum is a creative union of street photographers eastern European origin shooting unfamiliar people in public places: people as individuals, people as representatives of a particular class, a special group with common features, people as shapes, as parts of the environment complementing and adding life to a piece of the plane. We are delighted to share our vision of human street life surrounding us at home and while travelling.
Ilya Atlas was born in Leningrad, Soviet Union on a cold and dark December night in 1988. As of 2013 the city is called Saint-Petersburg while Ilya is involved in street photography and ERP systems integration. During those 23 years he participated in several group expositions: · Vinzavod Centre for contemporary art, Moscow; · The Russian museum (state museum of fine arts), Saint-Petersburg; · Street photo festival, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar. His personal portfolio was published in “Digital photo” magazine, Russia, in March 2012.
Illia Krasnoshchok was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1995. Currently the youngest member of Momentum collective. Illia became interested in photography in 2007 and fell in love with street photography in 2011. Since 2012 Illia has been studying Economics in Warsaw, Poland.
Dmitry Stepanenko was born in Odessa, Ukraine in 1987. In 2009 he moved to UK where he started doing street photography. Dmitry was short-listed during the first Street Photography Festival in Russia (2012) and became one of the founding members of Momentum street photography collective. He took part in group exhibitions in Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar and Novorossiysk as well as had his work published in various photography magazines.
Anastasia Kichigina is a Russian street photographer born in 1981 in Omsk (Russia) and soon moved to St. Petersburg, where she lives and shoots now after getting architectural and artistic degrees. She is a member of The Russian Union of Art Photographers since 2010 and joined Momentum collective in October 2012. Anastasia is one of the winners of the 1st Street Photography Festival in Russia (2012).
