In design the most beautiful things are always innovative hybrid, a fusion of different objects that gives life to new and unexpected elements.
One of them is definitely Orwell, a piece of furniture designed by Spanish studio Goula/Figuera, a sofa, a bed, a ‘cabin’ with additions multifunctional. Of course the name is a clear reference to the author of the famous book ‘1984’ and the original idea of the product is to try to regain intimacy that we often lose, even inside our homes.
We can hide as if we were children lowering the quilted heavy curtains, insulated again sound and from the rest of the world. The design of Orwell is created to be used both to sit and and to lie down.
