Paris Photo: Report 1 by Massimo Nicolaci

Even this year Paris Photo 2016 is over. Was an issue a little ‘”particular” because it carried with it different emotions of the year before. The attacks, the bataclan and the general terror of a nation. But this year everything went well, no “fireworks”, the show had run its course, millions of people have visited the Grant Palais, collectors, photographers, aspiring photographers, editors, gallery owners etc etc have had a chance to be overwhelmed by a large number of images. by massimo nicolaci

Paris Photo is a great event of contemporary photography, a great event for professionals and do not. Every year there are new photography to exhibit, there is an attempt to bring photography ever closer to contemporary art, even though the great masters of the past continue to have more interest, curiosity and higher prices.

The Paris Photo is a photography exhibition, is a market of pictures, lest we forget … it’s not a place to showcase portfolios, new works or enter the photography market … is a place where you meet people, but where mainly should sell the photographs.

The best photographs are: Robert Frank, Anders Petersen, Josef Koudelka, Walker Evans, Richard Avedon, Sarah Moon, Roger Ballen, Moriyama, Araky …. And others like Michael Ackerman, Antoine D’Agata, Paolo Pellegrin, Alex Majoli, Lorenzo Castore and Martin Bogren.

Now one more year separates the next Paris Photo, when those who are really interested and think have a talent contact gallery owners and collectors to try to be part of the edition of Paris Photo 2017.
