Fans of design have a favorite month: September. In fact, the coming weeks are full of events, a series of happenings that will cross all over Europe. Paris starts the dance, with the now established Maison & Objet fair, dedicated to the world of home, scheduled from September 6 to 10, and flanked by the Paris Design Week (9-15 September), which involves galleries, laboratories, shops and schools throughout the French capital.
During the Paris Design Week they will devote ample space to decorative arts, fashion and culture. In addition, there will be business partners that will support the work of young designers and there will be a series of exhibitions dedicated exclusively to new trends.
All the events, from inaugurations to the workshops, are online and you can find it on the official website, where you can study the map and all the paths in order to miss anything. In the same week, the Helsinki Design Week begins and lasts from September 12 to 22. This is one of the last events born in the design sector, but also one of the most awaited after the designation of the Finnish capital as the world capital of design in 2012.
Also here the indications are accurate and well detailed: the main events of the Helsinki Design Week will be held in the Old Customs Warehouse in Katajanokka. This programme, like the Parisian one, will include workshops, exhibitions, fashion shows, seminars, visits to studios and to public spaces as well as shopping. The countdown is tripped; design lovers from all over Europe get ready!
