I was born on the hottest day of the summer 1988 in Geneva, Switzerland. When I was four years old, my family moved to Detroit, MI and then back to Switzerland. When I was 20 I moved to London to study photography. Then I fell in love. I try to find something interesting to photograph everyday but I am often disappointed. I am waiting for spring to come and days to become longer.
These images are part of my project entitled Tatti that focuses on the summer house in Tuscany that my grandparents bought twenty-five years ago and where I spent all of my holidays as a kid. I still go there about once a year now. I want to explore and document the relation between close relatives and a very familiar place. What this place means for my parents, my brother, my sisters. It is also about the act of posing and letting someone photograph you. Why my sister would agree and my brother wouldn’t. The project is still ongoing.
