Camilla de Maffei studied Philosophy at the “Università Statale” of Milan and graduated with a thesis in Aesthetics about the representation of the invisible in Spiritualist photography. At the same time she studied photography at IED in Milan and then at Grisart – Photography School in Barcelona. In 2008-2009 she completed her Studies in photography with a postgraduate diploma in photojournalism at “Universitat Autonoma” of Barcelona. Since early she practised analog photography. Over the last three years Camilla has been working as a freelance photographer in Spain, Italy and the Balkan area (Bosnia Herzegovina and Macedonia especially) focusing on silenced social issues.
