Piotr Pietrus was born in Poland and lives and works in Berlin.
He graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany, in 2008. From 2008 until 2011 he had been attending the masterclass of Arno Fischer at the Ostkreuzschule, Berlin.
2009/2010 Piotr has worked as an assistant for fashion photographer Benjmin Kaufmann.
Strasbourg is a short reportage and impression from an Against NATO protest in Strasbourg, France, 2009. The demonstration quickly got out of control and while the police surrounded the area where the event took place, protesters took advantage of this vacuum like situation and demonstrated their anger by burning buildings and setting up blockades. As the police slowly commenced towards the area, they responded with huge violence.
