The TeamLab firm has created the vibrant and colourful office interiors of Pixiv, a company headquartered in Tokyo that manages the online platform dedicated to designers and artists through which users can exhibit their illustrations and get feedback via a system of rating.
The work environment is designed so that the spaces are arranged around a large table, 250 meters long, which is articulated as a single architectural element. It runs throughout the entire office environment, surrounding the perimeter of the rooms along a dynamic yet functional path.
The table is made of wood and resembles an uninterrupted tape: the designers, in order to make it more functional and allow the surrounding areas to be used, have forged its shape creating points where underpasses allow workers to walk under it and reach their desk. At certain points there are holes cut out on the table top to create private areas where users can climb up and work in peace with their own laptop.
Co-working spaces have been arranged in the entire office with lightweight and easily stackable stools. The large open space can also be divided into smaller rooms using movable partitions according to need.
