The documentations of life, and the artistic realism of photographic narratives and stories have been major focal points of inspiration to Welsh born photographer Geraint Rees, adapting key focal points from American nostalgia and visual aesthetics of American lifestyle within his photographic work. A recent graduate from the University of South Wales, Geraint’s work infuses a combination of case studies in the documentation of people with the inspired visuals of Americana, overall creating the suggestion of narratives and stories that reflect both passions in inspiration, and a perspective of American aesthetics.
Geraint’s photographic journal “The Modern Open” generates the ideas of focusing on detail and beauty within everyday life. The journal advances to included visuals on travel, food and lifestyle, an aesthetic that keeps within the theme of exploring and documenting a personal perspective of life.
