Alex Marcus was born in Majorca. He started taking pictures in a travel to Kashmir at a young age where his only friend was an old analogue camera. Since then and after a period of ten years living between Asia and Majorca photography grew up in him as a perfect way of expression. Mainly focused on social subjects, he worked as a photographer in Kinshasa before going back to Majorca to study art photography in the Balearic Islands School of Design.
After a few years assisting fine art and fashion photographers he is now using all these influences to create images that carry nude and beauty which plays delicately with light.
Newly arrived in Berlin he presents “Verena” as the first series of a life project in the city.
